Alden Parkes reports that it has provided an exciting roster of engaging activities to attendees of the 2022 High Point Furniture Market which took place April 2nd-6th.

Alden Parkes’ focus during this year’s spring market was to highlight its new Worth Avenue Collection and to support future generations of designers by raising money and awareness for the Interior Design Program at High Point University. Through carefully planned promotional campaigns, Alden Parkes successfully executed well-attended events to accomplish its goals.

On Saturday, April 2nd, Alden Parkes hosted a delightful soiree recognizing the efforts of High Point University interior design student Jae Burdett. Due to her innovative design skills, Burdett was selected to style the Chloe Chair, a new Alden Parkes introduction, with upholstered fabrics exclusively from Kravet. Burdett and her family were in attendance at the event and able to meet members of the Alden Parkes’ family and visiting designers. The beautifully designed chair was on display inside the Alden Parkes showroom for the duration of market and the public was able to purchase $5 tickets for the drawing which took place on Tuesday, April 5th. All proceeds were donated to the Interior Design Department at High Point University.

On Sunday, April 3rd, the launch of the Alden Parkes’ Worth Avenue Collection - made in Italy- was celebrated with a panel in the Alden Parkes showroom centered around how design is influenced by travel. Moderated by Hadley Keller, Digital Director of House Beautiful, and featuring designers Kelli Ellis, Kurt Jacob Miller, Lukas Mack, and Joy Williams, the group presented a lively discussion on how their designs are inspired by their ventures, whether coast-to-coast or international. Following the panel, attendees enjoyed Italian-themed cocktails, live music, delicious hors d’oeuvres, and a book signing of Hadley Keller’s Beachside: Windsor Architecture and Design.

Designed by Kurt Miller and Lukas Mack of Jacob Lukas Design, The Worth Avenue Collection holds Italian-inspired elements such as clean lines, muted gold accents, rich finishes, and custom hardware as jewelry. The collection was displayed inside Alden Parkes’ High Point Market Showroom and includes pieces suited for dining, bedroom, and living room spaces.

“We could not be more pleased with the attendance and recognition we received from our fellow High Point Market colleagues,” says Lynne McArdle, president of Alden Parkes. “We are very proud of our new Worth Avenue Collection as well as the relationship we developed with High Point University. We look forward to a bright future with more product launches, more great events, and more successful markets!”

All Alden Parkes events were held inside of the Alden Parkes showroom located at 200 North Hamilton Street.
