Created and written by David E. Kelley, The Lincoln Lawyer is an upcoming American drama series which is based on the 2008 bestselling novel  titled The Brass Verdict by Michael Connelly, best known for his detective novels and other crime fiction. The series is developed by Ted Humphrey, who is also the co-writer.

The Brass Verdict is the second book of Connelly’s The Lincoln Lawyer book series, the first one was 2005 novel “The Lincoln Lawyer “, which was adapted as a 2011 film of the same name, starring Matthew McConaughey.

Kelley, Humphrey and Connelly in association with Ross Fineman are also serving as the executive producers. The series holds the banners of Davie E. Kelley Productions, A&E Networks and A+E Studios.

The makers of the series have made the announcement regarding its release date, May 13 has been confirmed as the release date for it. It will premiere on Friday, May 13 on streaming giant Netflix. This first ever season of the series will have 10 episodes, which will all drop at 3 a.m. ET/ 12 a.m. PT.

The shooting for the series began on March 31, 2022 in Los Angeles and it concluded on August 3, 2021. Notable filming locations included Admiralty Way in Marina del Rey, Spring Street in Downtown Los Angeles, Grand Avenue, the Wilshire Ebell Theatre and Wilshire Boulevard.

Apart from the above-mentioned actors, the series also stars Ntare Guma Mbaho Mwine as Detective Raymond Griggs, LisaGay Hamilton as Judge Mary Holder, Jamie McShane as Detective Lee Lankford, Reggie Lee as Angelo Soto and Krista Warner as Hayley Haller in supporting roles.

The trailer follows Mickey Haller, a defense attorney in Los Angeles, USA, who runs his law practice out of the back of his Lincoln Town Car. When his former law partner is killed, Haller is left over to take over the firm, including a high-profile murder trial. With the biggest case he’s ever had to tackle out of the back seat of his Lincoln Town Car, Mickey discovers there may be more at stake than he thought.
